Yep mine are 12 and 15 now but I’ve worked at my company 15+ years and I had to dig through old emails and found some about what my life was like balancing it all and I think I had PTSD.
It’s sooo exhausting so just here sending moral support! If it helps, it really does get better — especially after that first year of daycare.
Maybe one suggestion: if there isn’t an office to go to, consider finding some kind of coworking space or small rental? If you can find something you can afford, it is well worth what you might gain in mental health/sanity in my experience. I’ve always found it helps to have separation of home and work life, especially when the kiddos are young. Plus it prevents confusion on home responsibilities when you’re working (for everyone), including when say the other parent is doing drop off but you’re still “at work” when the kids get home.
Just a thought!
Good point, appreciate the advice thank you!
My kids were like that when in daycare but once they hit regular school they are rarely sick now 🤣🤣. Building up that future immunity
We have a long way to go before elementary school 😭
Yes, it is awful. Mine got sick non stop for 2 years. It has gotten better after that "first" wave. Everyone keeps telling me it gets better as they build their immune system but we also moved daycare around 22 months and I think this new daycare is way better in terms of cleanliness.
