How do you add value in meetings when you’re not the decision maker? Sometimes I feel like I’m just there to observe, but I want to contribute more meaningfully.

You can back up people's ideas, you can add meaningful things to consider (without pushing back too much), you can ask questions, all of these things strengthen the original ideas!

I think that adding back up can be a solid way to show support to your coworkers who are putting their own opinions on the line. It's scary to speak up in meetings sometimes, so expressing agreement when you feel it can be a positive way to engage in these meetings.

To be blunt, sometimes I do not have anything productive to add during a meeting. On the occasion I do, it’s been a priority for me to speak up. I’ve kept quiet a lot of times and regret it so much afterwards. Even if it’s something small, it can be a great addition.

I think it's about adding insight and perspective to assist the decision-maker. Especially as women, I think we have a lot of really valuable ways of looking at things that other people may not. You're contributing to the success in less visible but still meaningful ways.

The trick is to stay in your lane and only contribute when you've got something worthwhile to say. Most meetings, it seems, are performances where people show off but don't really contribute much. You want to be known as the person who doesn't fill the air with a lot of nonsense, but rather adds trenchant comments when it matters. Speak a little, but make it count.

It’s not a bad thing if you genuinely don’t have anything to add! However yes if it’s all the time then maybe agree with other peoples ideas and add on to them perhaps?

Once you've been accepted, can it be revoked if you decide to quit your job? Or to put it another way, barring acts of infamy/legality/stupidity, is there anything I could do that would endanger my acceptance once received?

I kind of want to spend some time with family and travel a bit before an mba and if I get notified in Dec, I'd like to use the time I have in between on myself. I'm fine with losing out on pay, I made some smart investments that money is not the primary issue.

Hello, I have until the 30th whether to accept an offer as an SaT Senior Director. I’m currently a Senior Manager in EY business consulting. Can anyone share the pay range for Senior Directors in the U.S.? This role would be leading small teams to perform commercial due diligence and manage the daily activities of a distressed capital advisory, acquisition, divestiture, or merger assignment.

I feel like I'm stuck in limbo.

Not enough experience to become a Senior designer, but too much to be a junior.

And there hardly any intermediate roles out there.
