Yesterday only during their press meet they told that they have honored all the offer letters last quarter...and today itself you can see so many delaying and postponing of joining cases in this group only....there must be something very wrong or messed up.

I come on my first day and find out those seniors have left for v10 firms, leaving me much closer to the fire than I expected. Can someone point me to some material where I can read about profit sharing vs 401k. I get the concept, but I am trying to understand is 10% profit sharing vested over 5 years better than an employee 401k match of 6%?

From my understanding 10% PS is better because it’s just a standard 10% on top of whatever I contribute though it takes 5 years to vest. Does this mean if I leave before 5 years I don’t get any of it?

Buying a house with monthly expense of $4900, although my current rent is only $2350. My total HHI with my husband is about $310K. I’m feeling weary of spending this much but we live in a HCOL area near a major city and we have high taxes. It’s hard to find anything decent under $800K.
