I guess the best approach is to just scout out people in your organization who seem to be good at what they do. Follow their lead, and if you have pertinent questions, ask them for advice. Sometimes people will be fairly generous with time and insights if you ask intelligent questions. If your company doesn't have a formal mentorship program that might be the best way to go about it.

That’s good advice. I always think of starting out formally asking them to be your mentor but makes sense to start out with a few questions and build the relationship.
