IMO... Muscle definition is mostly about how much body fat is on top of you muscle. Get rid of the fat and you will see the muscle. Look at you food intake along with your workout to see if you are burning off fat. Lot of ways and opinions on how to accomplish that. Food intake is the biggest part of the equation IMO.
Most of the time you can't see the results very easily, but then one day you will be like, dang I actually have changed.
Calorie deficit is key. Start tracking what you eat in my fitness pal app. Focus on high protein, low fat and moderate carb intake. If you aren’t losing weight you aren’t in a calorie deficit.
How kind of work outs are you doing? What are you eating? What’s your average daily calorie deficit?
So slowly trying to get back in shape after studying for the cpa. I’ve started running 4 miles1-2x a week and doing some sort of strength training/orange theory home workouts 2-3x depending on client demands right now. I’m not really counting calories though... I would say my portion sizes are normal and I try to eat well balanced meals and very minimal “junk” food. A little bread heavy on my meals some day, but quarantining with the bf and he loves making yummy pasta dishes so I’ve been indulging a bit.
Awk I meant 3 miles
I'm sure those carbs are not helpful. Agree with other posts. Mostly its diet.
