With a happy mindset, no matter what you celebrate, may you get to spend time with friends and family and be thankful and happy, enjoy each other’s differences.
I talk in terms of holidays, not actual specific holidays. I don't ask people what their plans are for Christmas, Hanukkah, etc. I ask what they're doing for the holidays. It's more generic, but more inclusive.
Stick to the subject being taught. You can force yourself to say "holidays," or you can call it "winter break" or "semester break" if you are talking about the upcoming days off. Young kids are very excited this time of year, so if they use terms like "Christmas," don't correct them. Some colleagues ask their students to tell classmates a little about their traditions, especially if they are Jewish, Muslim, Budhist, etc., but I try to stay away from anything that might open a door that should stay shut.
Who has time for fun and holidays when state tests are on the line 🙃
I set up a Geome-Tree and note how one of my ornaments has pi out to 50 digits. And that the volume of many cool looking ornaments can be found through integrals while their silhouettes are variations on power functions which can become our bounded integrals. Also many decorative holiday signs use cubic-function derived fonts for their lettering. So with math, it’s easy because it’s literally everywhere.
