How do you deal with overly incompetent clients? There’s so much value my team can add, but my my stakeholders are so incompetent that nothing gets done. It’s so demotivating!

What’s with the random fog that just appeared out of nowhere in Downtown near the lake?

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I don't want her to think I won't be able to keep clients straight when I start doing supervised sessions.

Is $1400/month rent reasonable for a 1BD/1BA? Open to living in LA or in the suburbs and ideally looking for something that is safe and has decent number of younger people (<30).

Need for travel has been one reason why some of our jobs could not be outsourced to remote delivery & low cost off-shoring. If travel is fully or >50% eliminated, it can be a real threat to management consulting as we know it. So there needs to be an “optimal ratio” of travel to client locations, home office, and WFH, to protect our consulting models. Since we need some face time with clients, and some interaction with colleagues, the optimal balance should be possible. Share your thoughts.
