Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

I bill 40-45 on average because I produce at LEAST the amount of work that would justify that (most weeks more), but I’m probably not WORKING more than 30hrs a week. I’m less than a year into consulting though, so it’s not like I’m being put on anything too terribly advanced-level.
As long as my reviews stay stellar and I get “idk how you do it all” type feedback from my coworkers and clients, I see no issue with it. ☺️ I get more than my work done and done well in ~30hrs a week, I’m not about to complain about needing more to do!! Haha

I’m aligned with C1 on this. We build our proposals with a good estimate of how many hours the work and deliverables will take to complete. The reality is those estimates can be off up to around 20-30%. If the actual workload is more and it takes 60 hours we generally won’t bill much more than what we estimated. At the same time if we’re efficient and get the work done in 30 or 35 I advise my staff to still bill close to the estimate. The reality is it often balances out over the duration of a project.
During bad times: 60-70. But this is often offset by sometimes a couple months between projects where I am barely working at all. Or when I am on an easy project working only 20 hours a week. It all balances out.
45-50 total hours on average

The middle 60% would probably be between 50 and 70. Min I would say around 30, max around 90.
Are we counting completely useless meetings 😂
