How do you explain stints less than a year on your resume? I’m sure there’s a way to explain professionally, but I feel like they won’t believe me if it’s sounds “too” professional, like I’m hiding something…

Sometimes we try new things to move to companies to realise that they're not as professional as we thought. I move to where I will be supported and I can support the business but some cultures don't want to support you.

100%. Hindsight is always 20/20. You tend to see things through rose colored glasses at first and after that wears off, you see the real deal. That’s just one reason….disrespect, unfair discipline and favoritism are a few more that would cause you to move to another…but you can’t quite say that when they ask 😅

How much less than a year? If it's only a few months, I'd leave it off my resume as I would rather explain a gap than that short of a stint at a job. If it's closer to the one year mark, I guess if asked I would simply say that I am seeking a role with more growth opportunities.

Simple and effective….id definitely use this!

As honestly as you can without badmouthing the employer. If there's no way to do that, make something up. I'd default to something a la "my hours were cut to the point I had to look elsewhere." Happens often and is a very reasonable justification for leaving early.

Temporary placement or Temporary to perm. Interviews and jobs are totally different. However, don't ignore the feeling something is off in your interview. Talking (interview) at first like in a relationship you and them will ignore the downside to a place or your personality. As you want the situation to go somewhere and they want a worker. Whether you then feel comfortable or fit into that company now or later on when they get a new manager say is only determined when you start employment.
Also having many jobs in either short or long spaces of time ensures more skills picked up and you knowing what you do and don't like in a workplace. This goes to finding your ideal job because lets face it you don't buy the first car you see in a showroom you test drive and explore other avenues. So do the employers that is why they have lots of candidates to interview for one job.

Indeed! Stability is a for sure valid reason

So, what clinic do you all go to?

I’ll start it off. I’ve been to 3:
1. RSC in San Ramon, CA
2. Spring in Oakland and SF, CA
3. SCRC in Santa Barbara, CA

I’ve also done outside monitoring at RMA in SF, CA. Multiple reasons for the many clinics if anyone is interested.

Hi folks, my base location as per EY GDS offer letter is Noida but I want it to be Gurgaon as my hometown is in Jaipur and Gurgaon is more convenient for me.. I sent email to my senior manager and got response that you can use flexibility and work in any Gds office in India. However, I feel that in case my base location is not being changed, I should shift to Noida rather than Gurgaon as there might be any formalities or facilities which we need to avail in our base location only.. Any thoughts?

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?
