Somethings up with that car. As they keep saying on Sky, you don't forget how to drive the car from one year to the next- especially for a 4 time WDC. It's either his set up is all wrong or Ferrari really want to position Leclerc a certain way as they know they aren't in a fight for the top this year
I assume the car is being tailored to LeClerc as they aren't worried about keeping Seb happy. There's no reason he should be qualifying at or below 10th unless his car was not remotely set up for his driving style.
I don’t see either car as really competitive. Leclerc against Lewis after Lewis’last stop just looked like F1 vs F2.
He’s already not coming back next season; what would be the point in intentionally sabotaging him?
Don’t think it’s intentional but he’s definitely getting a raw deal. Any new setup or aero goes on Vettels car first and he’s the guinea pig. During FP2 today commentators were saying Vettels car looked noticeably worse than Leclercs. Could be a long season for him, especially considering how bad the engine is.
See - this theory I can get behind. Seb knows how to set up a car. Hell, he seems better capable of managing pit stop and tire strategy than the Ferrari team. LeClerc can drive, but I think he needs a few more years of learning how to communicate (see also Alex Albon).
Today’s interview both Ferrari drivers are negative on the capabilities of their car. They both think they’ll have to be lucky to score points. WTF Ferrari 2020??

Or... Tin foil hat the other way, maybe Seb is not pushing too hard on purpose. Every point that Ferrari misses is a point for Aston Martin.
Well, three points there:
1) in the Gazetta link I posted elsewhere in this thread, both Ferrari drivers are complaining of the car not being competitive.
2) Seb is still going to be in F1. He wouldn’t muddy up his name, and a multiple-WDC winner I think has pride and ego to feed and wouldn’t sandbag.
3) not sure if you watched the onboard in FP when Seb’s engine let go and gushed all over the track. he seemed to be fighting the car to stay in the track limits, and then of course the engine groaned and blew up. Mechanically something just seems to not be fitting this year.
Maybe they’re trying to get Marchione to spin fast enough in his grave to provide us a new power unit the FIA has no rules for.
