It is really hard. I would echo what someone else said about channelling that energy into doing your little bit to help. It could be the tiniest thing but it will weigh a little less heavier. It’s also so critical to keep perspective. Whilst work may not feel important in the wider context, it’s important for you because the reasons that you work, even if it’s only to keep the lights on. Without that, would you be able to do your little bit to help for example? And all those little bits add up, even if it might not feel like it.
Would it help if you felt like you were doing something to improve things in your community? Volunteering, donating, etc. that’s what I am doing in mine and it helps put my mind at ease just a little knowing I am trying to do my part. It’s not perfect and it’s certainly not enough, but it’s something. And if everyone just did something, imagine what we could accomplish 💙

I appreciate this. I defiantly want to see if I can volunteer to help make more of a difference. I think that might help a lot. I just have been feeling so helpless

I totally feel you here. I make sure in times like this to surround myself with good people and do things I enjoy to block out the time. Hope you are okay!
I just discipline myself to focus and shut out any distractions so I can get my work done. I'm not someone to ignore the world, and I'm usually informed on the news. So I'm not advocating that we put our heads in the sand. And if one's community is impacted that's a serious thing to deal with, of course. Still, there's a time when we have to get work done, so I just focus, focus, focus.
Spend more time with your people, spend less time consuming news. It's the only way to stay sane.
