Consider this a “megapost” for any questions about pharma in lieu of making your own post — there’s been a lot of content around entering the healthcare advertising industry during the pandemic as open jobs begin to shift.

Hi👋🏻 I’m an AAE with experience on a retail brand, looking to make the jump to pharma... at my junior level, would agencies be willing to take the risk on my “transferable” experiences, even though I have no background in pharma? Think anyone would be willing to take the risk, or am I trying to swim in the wrong pond?

Is pharma as recession proof as I keep hearing? My current agency has a lot of healthcare clients and although the work is slow in process it feels like it never ends. Will the election have a large affect in the industry?
Speaking for my own agency we did have layoffs/furloughs, but I know other pharma agencies did not. In fact some were the opposite, they’re out there hiring like crazy
