Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

I do the long weeks before, never have to deal with them after though. As long as I plan ahead, there's usually not much waiting for me when I return. Not enough to make vacation feel pointless, anyway.
You get to what you can when you get back. Don’t put the pressure on yourself to work extra before and after. Make a plan and prioritize.
Clear, early communication on current work. Prioritize what needs to be done before. Setting boundaries on how quickly other items will be completed after return.
Took me a long time to get to this. But now that I do it, it makes it so much easier to unplug on PTO (and be present with my family).
Should also note that it has a positive network effect. Others can emulate it and ultimately the team works more effectively over the long haul / reduced burn out.
Care less.

I definitely think there will be some flavor of some additional work but not to the extent you’re writing. It shouldn’t be more than a few hours max
I usually have someone who can work on what I’m working on when I’m off and I delegate the tasks. My manager makes sure someone can fill in while I’m out. I’ve never worked 60 hour weeks just to take PTO. If you have no one to cover you, that’s a tell that your manager hasn’t staffed correctly.
