Taking a formal leave can be financially tough but do you have vacation left? If so–book all or most of it right now. Two weeks would be ideal but one week can work.
Sounds like an obvious suggestion but if you're on the precipice of a mental breakdown and can't afford to up and quit you need to buy yourself some time, space and room to think...about yourself.
You could also go the route of taking a mental health leave with support from your Doctor via a written note. Most people are fearful of making this choice but do remember that you pay into a benefits system that is meant, in part, to help support you if you need to do this. There's no shame in it.
Things are really fucked and really stressful right now. I'm with you in this feeling friend. Buy yourself a bit of time if you can and know you're not alone.
What’s causing the distress exactly? Unrealistic expectations, work volume, perceived unworthiness? I think it’s important to take a big step back and evaluate what’s causing the tension, and what’s in your control and what’s not. If it’s a toxic workplace, leave. If it’s a struggle with constant ranking and competition that places always evaluates you unfairly, or sheer work overload I think we all have to advocate for ourselves and speak our truth. This business can be fun but it’s all so VERY UNIMPORTANT. Please consider talking to somebody and if necessary find another job or figure out how to re evaluate the situation and your role in the industry. Take your job seriously but not yourself, you need to laugh at this all. I hope you find the balance and peace we all deserve.
Sick or mental health leave, NABS, therapy, take the time after a short break to find redirection, so that when you get back, you have a plan to get yourself out of situations that may be affecting you

Do more walking. And I don’t mean that in a flippant way. It’s shown to reduce stress levels and it’s great for your health overall.
Take a break

Balance, therapy, touching grass, meditation, yoga, organized sports, having a supportive boss/coworker team, leave of absence, vacation time, nap? Take care of yourself because you matter <3 Work will always be there.
Say no to things. You're not a hero for taking on too much. Remember your name isn't on the door. Do what you need to do, do a good job, but going above and beyond all the time doesn't get you ahead. Healthy boundaries are everything!
Talk to people outside of the industry often. Reach out to NABS. Spend time sitting in the sun
