My spirits are a bit low but I need to make some sales, and that's hard to do when my charisma is basically zero. Any advice on how to keep a stiff upper lip when you feel like you're going nowhere in your career?

Take stock of if you really like what you do. Do you feel accomplished when you are at work, do you drag yourself into work are you happy when at work if not it's time to change figure out what you like what make you happy, and then try to find a job relating to those things.

First, make sure you're staying positive and hopeful in your personal life. That will help carry over into your work life, no matter how down you might be feeling. Second, try to take some time for yourself to recharge. Get out in nature, read a good book, or just relax with friends. Finally, focus on the good things you've accomplished, no matter how small they may seem. Remind yourself that you are capable and competent, and that will help give you the boost you need to keep going.

You might find it helpful to remember that most successful people have had their share of lows. Keep your focus on your goals, and don't get discouraged. Stay positive and keep working hard, and eventually you'll break through.

Some people recommend visualization techniques- picturing yourself succeeding in your goal, even if you don't feel like it in the moment. Other people find that positive self-talk helps- telling yourself that you can do it repeatedly until you start to believe it. And some people find that just keeping their head down and focusing on the work helps them to get through these tough times.

The best way to stay motivated when you're feeling down is to set small goals and celebrate your accomplishments. Even if your career isn't going as well as you'd like, focus on the positive things you've done and the progress you've made.

Does anyone have recommendations for an accountant (CPA)? I feel like word-of-mouth is going to be better than all the googling I’ve been doing. I’m open to having an accountant not in the state I live in, but preferably east coast. My last accountant was not great and super unresponsive (Google was not helpful even though they had great reviews...) This year I’m going to need a decent accountant for tax planning purposes as my taxes will be more complicated. Feel free to DM directly

We are looking to restructure our marketing team (B2B IT services) and one of the questions I have is: how does recruitment marketing / employer branding fit into the marketing team?
Over the last year EB and RM have become increasingly larger parts of our team’s work, but it’s not part of the marketing commercial targets (just helping recruitment meet their targets). Are they completely separate in your company? Or part of the team and if so how?

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.
