It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.

Both the leaves were rejected from her manager saying connect with HR. though she is on leave without PM leave approval and this is not even prior notice to the team.

I’m interviewing for Corp strategy roles in industry. I’m coming up on a promo near 2YOE. I noticed when looking up my interviewers with the more senior folks that all have at least 4 years of strategy consulting experience and an MBA. This begs the question: does existing to industry too early hinder upward movement in your career in the later stages? Especially with no MBA.
