We're definitely walking on eggshells around here. Our sister company just underwent company wide layoffs and we're all a bit shook up over it. None of us knew it was coming, so I can't imagine how those who were laid off feel.
Nothing new here, we've been humming along just fine. No layoffs, hiring freezes or anything that would cause alarm, knock on wood. Here's to hoping it stays that way.
We share memes to lighten the mood, our new VP of sales/ops wants to “cut costs” by reducing workforce.
We’re all cross-training, doing more work with less resources than ever before.
A middle manager is leave the org so we had a random meeting today about not gossiping about what will happen since there could be layoffs due to merging departments/teams. Man i hate going to the office
I had two somewhat higher-ups leave a few months ago, and I thought that was the sign of bad things to come. So far, it’s been quiet, and not much else has happened. So cautious, but we have been hiring, so somewhat of a good sign.
We are coming out from under that stress and it feels so much better!
Honestly, I haven't noticed much of a difference. People are just going to work, doing their jobs, eating their little lunches and having watercooler conversations. I know that the world is going through a lot right now, but nobody really brings that energy into the workplace and I appreciate that.
