How is the Data scientist role @Wipro,share experiences.

Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!

I’ve seen multiple posts on this lately so want to reiterate to candidates:
This process take a long time- 3+ months.
After your interviews, your recruiter will likely say you’ll hear back in a week- do not count on that. It may take up to a month.
If your recruiter doesn’t answer you, they probably just don’t have any updates. They’re not ghosting you.
They call for both good and bad. Don’t overthink it until you know.

I am the General Manager at an Allstate agency in north Texas. I sell about half the day. The other half is training, interviewing, and other managerial duties. The owner is rarely in the office and very hands off. I step in for service when needed. Anyone in the same role willing to share your salary/pay structure? With all I do and the hours required to get the job done, I feel under paid. Just want to see if my thoughts are out of line.

I interviewed for a role with the actual hiring manager more than two weeks ago. After that, the hiring manager gave great feedback, set up a group interview 2 days later. That went great as well and I received great feedback in response to my thank you emails. Since then it’s been crickets. I know part of this time included the 4th, so perhaps no big deal. But I sent a follow up to hiring manager yesterday and no response. Bad sign? Should I follow up with HR rep instead or just wait it out?

I’m trying to gauge salary expectations as a workers comp supervisor/manager. I have 7 years experience, all in California workers comp, and the last 2 years have been as a supervisor/manager. I have 3 designations and experience with difficult, technical files.

Today I got a bug report from our customer support team. Our system can technically bill people in increments of a fraction of a cent. When it actually bills, it'll round to the nearest cent.

Today, someone complained that they were charged $x.44, but the system determined that $x.441 worth of services were rendered. They were confused why our system didn't round up to $x.45 and insisted on a fix.

This got through a customer and 2 levels of support before it got me. It was rounded correctly.

A junior gets pissed off whenever I delegate work to him. He doesn’t even look at me when I give him instructions - just stares straight at the computer. But wow - it’s a different story when the senior associates or partners give him work. I had to resort to copying the partner in my emails but this doesn’t change his attitude toward me 1 on 1.
