I guess the thing for me is, what choice would I have? It’s not like I can afford the luxury of experiencing burnout and then being able to quit or take time off.

I would look right away for a job and leave as soon as I can - but like everyone else, I can’t just leave because how will I pay the bills? Unfortunately it’s still hard to find a job right now…

Burnout once in a while can happen, but if it’s constant and recurring, that’s a sign something’s off—not you. Personally, I’d start planning an exit once it becomes the norm and starts affecting my health or life outside work. No job is worth running yourself into the ground long-term.
