How many times per week do you skip lunch or eat lunch at your desk because you have too much work to do? I’m 4 for 4 this week. Practically on a diet against my will.

It is a culture in our office to eat homemade lunch at desk. So yes everyday I have lunch at desk. However it's not due to work pressure.

Ah yes. From 1 pm to 2 pm is lunch time. People go for a stroll after completing lunch. Mostly 1 30 to 2 pm people just casually stroll here or idle.

I used to do it consistently but it was because of the goals being pushed on me. I felt the pressure to meet the goals and prioritized that over my personal health.

That’s the spot I’m in now. Either I work through lunch or I go home and work longer. The work has to get done. Then when I get home I’m starving.

Occasionally is totally understandable. But when everyone is eating lunch at their desk and scheduling meetings during lunch, that’s where I find issue.

I actually refuse to skip lunch. An extra 45 min to an hour per day of work is not going to change the course of any company. Anyone that tells me otherwise can pound sand and I’ve been sure to make my position known.

I agree! The need to take away people’s break is absurd. That’s why they have laws around these kinds of things. However, I’m salary and if I take a break that just means I go home and open my laptop back up

I want to say maybe 2-3 times a week? But I'm at a job where I can just leave work at work, so I'm happy to do it for that reason.

That’s not so bad then. I remember before Covid my job was like that. We had to clock in and clock out and there were no expectations to work from home. I miss those days.

Does anyone know what’s going on with my philodendron? I’ve had this plant for years and just recently got it to start producing new leaves again and all the new ones have these lighter spots, but all the old growth is just a solid dark green like the leaf in the background. Good thing, bad thing, or just a thing that happens? Anyone have some insight?
