The answer to your real question is no, you shouldn’t do it.
Well I bought my husband a $3,500 watch as a gift (using part of a bonus) when we were recently out of grad school and had a net worth of -$200k haha. That watch is now .07% of our net worth so I think it was ok to splurge.
You are asking the wrong question. If you can’t pay back your credit card bill without interest, don’t buy a luxury watch .
0.6% of my net worth. Got it through a business I own so I paid back in interest free instalments spread out over a year.
A good watch isn’t a purchase, it’s an investment. And net worth can change quickly as well.
Unless your net worth is minimal, or your “most expensive” watch is a high 5 or 6 figure value, then surely this would be 1% at most, for most people?
There's some really bad math here.
Most expensive was .33% of my networth
< 0.5%
It was around 0.15% of my net worth. What is the percentage of your net worth for the watch you want to buy?
