A lot of turnover can be a real problem, that's true. Yet it's good to consider that reasons for turnover can vary and could be a good sign For instance, some positions can be launching pads and people spend time there and ascend on their way. And, of course, sometimes turnover means people are driven off by unspeakable working conditions.

It's hard to quantify how much would be "too much" since each team is different. But I think a general rule of them is that if nobody has been on the team longer than 2 years, there is probably too much turnover. Can you get more specific with your colleagues about why turnover is high?
