Are there any books or other resources that mid levels/seniors/counsel/partners on here have found helpful for the project management / managing junior attorney aspects of your job?

I am not finding a lot of stuff written for lawyers specifically , but there is a lot directed at “managers” in business generally that I imagine could be applicable.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Female here and I hate to say it! But whenever I’m pull to a new project I secretly hope I don’t get a female lead. 😞 I had some interesting experiences with women leads, which it does not apply to all women!, but I feel a bit hesitant and I feel is ptsd lol how can I overcome this mentality?! I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. I head a team and they seem to be happy… but I’m also personally not satisfied what we’re delivering is enough… so I have this weird mixed feeling of the stuff we’re doing not really being that stretching, but at the same time I feel out of my depth. I really don’t know what to do and whether to hold on in the hope I’ll learn something or go back to a lower grade and a more comfortable life.

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified?
