Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.

I would rather have too much training over not enough. So many jobs just expect you to shadow someone who is already overly busy and throw you into the deep end. Give me a whole week or two of training and I'm happy.

Honestly, same. Proper training makes such a difference, being thrown in never helps anyone.
I like formal training and then continued on the job training. 2 weeks sounds about right to me. I don't need to have everything done for me when I'm getting started, but I do like being able to ask questions and learn from people before I'm completely on my own.

That sounds like the perfect balance. Support at the start, then easing into it on your own.

Depends on the position. Entry level, one week. Mgmt, two weeks

Totally agree!

A solid first week should give you enough hands-on training to feel comfortable with the basics and a chance to ask questions without feeling thrown into the deep end. Anything less can definitely feel rushed, so it’s normal to expect a bit more guidance at the start.

Totally agree. A solid first week sets people up to succeed instead of stressing them out.
