Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Literally, never. Maybe if I “get” to go to a work conference for a couple days once a year. I’ve accepted it’s a temporary phase of life and a small sacrifice that is outweighed by the happiness of having my children. I already wake up at 5 am to shower and get ready for work, and weekends are totally devoted to the kids which I choose to prioritize over seeing friends. All choices that others may make differently, so really comes down to what you want to prioritize on any given morning/weekend
Same unfortunately
On the weekends, I get time by myself to go to the grocery store. Maybe once every two months, I'll do dinner or brunch with friends. In my case, I'm always the default parent and my husband doesn't spend much time with us on the weekends. I have to hope that isn't normal, though. I have friends with more children than I do who get lots of time to go work out because their spouses are more hands-on.
My kids are down by 8:30, I’m not sure why we are saying outside of that, but that’s the time I have to myself most days.
In terms of leaving the house while they are awake and doing my own thing - I get my hair done once every few months and then I also do a book club every 6 weeks. Besides that, I’m spending time with the kids and enjoying family life.
Once a week I have an evening with my closest friends. I go straight from work and I'm back before bedtime. Other than that ...rarely.
Coach
I have a weekly group tennis lesson (1 hour weekend), monthly girls dinner (3 hours weekend), and take some time from my work week otherwise for things like hair, nails, nap.
Sunday mornings when I go to the gym and an occasional girls night every couple months but other than that they’re glued to my side when I’m not at work
Dance classes every week. Dinner out with friends a couple times a month. Few nights trip with my sisters every year.
Yes it’s realistic! Spouse can take care of the kids fine without me. Took me a while to let go 🙃
Rarely, but kinda by choice. I have 2 kids (4yo and 1yo). I’m introverted, no hobbies outside the house, and only have one good friend who lives close by who has a 2yo and is pregnant with #2. Other than hanging out with her (which almost always involves our kids), I wouldn’t know what to do with any free time except clean 🤣
I have a 3 and 1 year old. My husband has built a gym in our basement so he goes there 3 times a week for an hr. He takes the kids too, they play on their bicycles. I honestly am also an introvert like someone else said. So no hobbies or anything like that. I watch tv shows when I can and just relax. My sister i used to hang out once a week but she always caused trouble so I am staying away and protecting my peace now. In just a few years we'll have more time. Just enjoying the kids right now.
