I have no input from a family law substantive standpoint, but I handle a lot of regulatory work in Florida and huge changes shake up the community. It’s an opportunity to write, make predictions, get your name out there as a “thought leader” (whatever that is).
I’m a 15 year family law attorney. No question the litigation flood gates are about to open if this alimony bill becomes law. I have clients paying permanent alimony that are chomping at the bit to file something. I have clients receiving permanent alimony that are scared. And don’t get me started on what will happen if the timesharing bill becomes law.
No, I don’t practice in that area. But for personal reasons, I’d love to hear your thoughts on why that is.
