I am so glad to have found this bowl! It isn't easy to share your faith in today's educational environment. So that makes me wonder ... how many of you work in Christian or private schools, and how many teach in public schools?

I'm looking for a comms planner for a mid-size agency in San Diego. 5-7 years overall experience with at least 1 full year spent exclusively on comms. DM me if you're interested, I'd consider more experienced as well.

I have a third round interview this Thursday, but after I sent my availability, I booked a flight for work that is causing a problem. The interview ended up scheduled for 3:30-4:15, and I'm supposed to be on a 5pm flight out of LGA. Is there a reliably quiet place at LGA to do the interview (I don't have lounge access)? Would it be a bad idea to say my availability changed and I can't do that time slot anymore? Or should I cancel / rebook my flight to later at night?

Recommendations for am impromptu 8 day road trip from Dallas area early may? Parents + 3 year old in tow; enjoy nature, scenery, good food, anything with history. New to area so literally haven’t explored anything yet (but want to avoid Austin San Antonio trip)

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I’ve been working as a RPA developer for 4 years. I joined a program that trained me in this role as a opportunity to start a career when my initial plan fell through. I’ve don’t pretty good so far…given multiple roles, pay increases etc. Honestly I don’t enjoy my job anymore and would like to make a change. I want to transition to a tech Product Owner/Manager role. Any advice on how to transition ?

Have interviewed a couple of people from WK over the past few weeks and have been hearing a lot about how it’s becoming a pretty horrible place to work since Susan came onboard. The criticism was more around actually working there than the work itself but is it really that bad? One of the candidates was saying that many of the good creatives have been leaving or are planning to leave because of this. I haven’t ever worked for Susan so I have no clue. Anyone heard anything similar?

How’s everyone getting ready for the week?

Just wanted to share something I do that helps. Before class and before my students come in, I say a prayer for strength, courage, and wisdom that day. I pray that I will reflect God’s love in my interactions with my students, and that they will see Him in me. It helps keep me calm and focused, especially when the kids are all over the place. Not forcing my beliefs on anyone, just having a private moment with God. Give it a try. It is powerful.

I teach 4th grade at a Christian school. I have been teaching for over 30 years but I have been at this school for 2 years. Since I have been working at this school it seems like everything I do in my classroom it's something wrong with it according to my supervisor. Recently, I was told that I am not getting a new contract for the new school year. I have to find a new school. I was told that I am not a good fit for the school.

I wonder if we still have people who believe in God’s promises and love God as the WORD tells us” I find in David a man after my own heart” 1 Samuel 13:14! How can we incorporate this love into our school we work for? Isn’t our voice enough?

Invited my students to our Church's Youth group.
They actually came! Couldn't believe it.

Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. 
Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily.
Love does not remember wrongs done against it.  
Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.  
Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.

Humbled, convicted, but thankful. Our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit love us this way!

How do y'all interact with your students when it comes to faith and your religion? Do your students know that you're a religious person?
I'm a youth leader at one of our local churches and I often talk to students who attend church about the services we have or suggest they should bring people.
Additionally, I have also started posting short videos on my instagram where I give a little encouraging message usually accompanied by a bible verse. Just a little something to show Jesus to students.
