avoid. don’t fall for the buy one, get three free sales.
They’re not super high quality, obviously, but I have a few for every day / travel suits that I don’t need to worry about if they get a little beat up
Their dress shirts are fine to wear as shirts you’re not worried about ruining it it’s super hot out, you know you’re going for dinner etc. otherwise I prefer the fit of Brooks Brothers and I think the quality is better
Stop it
Suits from Jos A Bank look like ill fitting rags. I prefer Brooks Brothers. Yes, Brooks Brothers is more expensive, but the quality is vastly superior. I usually keep an eye out for their sales, where you can get a decent Brooks Brothers suit for about $600 that would otherwise cost around $1,000. Also, make sure to get your suits tailored. I see other professionals wear unfitted suits and they look like they’re dressed for a third shift manager position at Burger King.

No JAB... anywhere but JAB
Haha. All my entry level suits were JaB. The first few were awful, but I didn’t know better and didn’t realize how unknowledgeable the sales guy was. I got a couple more later that were tailored and I can use them for traveling or just pants bc I don’t care that much.
My new tailored SS and bespoke are so much better.
I recommend CT shirts. They are like 3-4 for $119, cheaper if you keep buying more.
Every year I buy 5-7 shirts (2 solid white, blue, 1 pink, and rest are patterned) from CT and if they are in decent shape after the end of the year I donate them. But most of the time they get all yellow around the neck cuff and damaged.
For suits I’m pretty sure jos a banks is trash. If you need a decent off the rack started kit, I’d recommend Saks. Sometimes they have buy one get one sales.
