Take a deep breath and ground your feelings in the facts (I sound like a therapist, yes it works). Finish the job, remain professional and move on. It seems like you made the right choice by leaving if this is how they are acting. Do you have some time between jobs like a week or two to reset and start your new job fresh?

Only 1 week?
Sounds like you are leaving somewhere toxic. As someone who left what I can only liken to working in a glass bottle with a skull on it and green cartoon fumes escaping when the cork isn't on, I am on the other side now saying it will be better. I promise! I was actually even able to get off my anxiety medication within 6 months of leaving that position.
I'm sorry people are behaving crappily. It is a very sucky feeling.
Chill. Are you going to a competitor? If so, that's probably why your firm is upset. If you're doing something totally new, then they're being sour grapes and make sure you shake the dust off your feet when you walk out of there.
It’s totally normal! This was exactly what happened when I left my last firm, but with the addition of pissed off partners questioning publicly whether the place I was leaving to go was actually paying me more (this was the reason I disclosed after being harassed with questions after giving notice). I found out through the grapevine that their disbelief extended even after I left lol some places are just toxic. Be happy you’re leaving!

This is one of those “you can’t stop time” periods.
Transitions are awkward and can be hard, but all you need is time. Just suck it up, be thoughtful about how you act and what you say as you leave the old gig and start the new one, and let the days pass. In a few months you’ll be settled somewhere new.
Just peace out. When I knew my new spot was secured I left my laptop and keycard on my desk and sent them a thank u but I’m out email. Nothing good happens in your last 2 weeks and if they are not treating you right and it’s making u sick then f**k them. No one will thank
U for sticking around- trust me they don’t care. So go take a vacation.
Not sure where you live but I would not burn any bridges, especially in the legal field, no matter how toxic the place is. I have left some terrible places. Anyone who calls someone at that firm to ask about you is going to hear that story. Not good advice
