I am a tax supervisor at an agency that collects over $1.5 billion in taxes. I am a CPA, but my experience lies more in enforcement of tax code, rather than compiling returns or consulting on tax positions. I find myself at a crossroads… Enjoy the fruits of the environment I have created, or jump to the private sector (or public accounting) in an effort to push my own limits, and maximize my earning potential over the next 10 years.
