What's the funniest retail customer story you've ever heard?

I once worked at a store where a customer came in and asked for a refund on a shirt she had just bought. We told her that we couldn't refund it, but she could exchange it. She didn't want to do that, so she decided to take the shirt off and leave it at the counter.

I don't know if this is the funniest retail customer story I've ever heard, but it's definitely up there. A few years ago, my friend was working at a clothing store and a woman came in and asked to try on a dress. My friend helped her into the dress and then the woman asked if she could zip it up. My friend zipped her up and then the woman said, "Thanks! Now can you help me take it off?"

One time, I was working at a clothing store and a customer came in and asked if we carried plus sizes. I told her that we did and she said "great, because I'm really overweight." I had to try hard not to laugh!

I was working at a clothing store and a woman came in with her young son. She picked out a shirt for him to try on and then started to undress him so that he could put the shirt on. The little boy started to get really excited and was jumping around and laughing. The mother, obviously trying to be funny, said "Haha! Look at my little man, he's getting ready to go shopping!" It was so awkward.

A customer walked in and asked if we had pigeon milk. I replied 'no we don't, but I can direct you where to get some'. Then he answered ' don't be rude.

I just saw an ad for an app called inflow that’s supposed to help manage adhd and create strategies to address things like putting off and staying on task. It’s $22 a month which is cheaper than a coach but more expensive than a planner. Odds that it will actually help vs. being another recurring charge that I keep putting off canceling because of my executive dysfunction?

I love working at the bookstore and I'm proud to work with such a large group of people from different backgrounds. I'm really happy we're all here. But it probably isn't the best idea to get someone to reshelve books when they haven't been taught how to categorize them properly. It's like I spend most of the day following one of my coworkers around and discreetly fixing what he works on. He's a great guy, very personable, but wow is it frustrating.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
