I am just curious as someone who works in a small group of people and one is constantly brown-nosing me and tries to isolate me socially. I lost my motivation to socialize with my team/manager because of how much attitude I catch from this person whenever I have ANY kind of positive interaction with my other coworkers. I rented a house that had been vacant for a bit & the prior tenant didn’t do a thorough job cleaning up. Agent indicated the owner would be open to having the house cleaned but I would need to have the house professionally cleaned when I moved out (that was fine w me). I just received the bill from the owner for $250, which is super annoying bc there was no expectation communicated that I would foot the bill for this, more so bc the cleaner did a LOUSY job. For the last three years I have seen my practice only promote white guys to senior managers even though a few of the main partners are Indians. There are quite a few good Indian managers who were trying to get promoted but none of them made it for last three years. Not sure if this is intentional or coincidental.
