What are people’s reasons for staying in PA? A lot of good opportunities have come up and I’m sure people who have been here longer than me have also gotten good opportunities. So why do people stay?

I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO.

Any advice/books/... on stakeholder management at that level? Especially when things fail/discussing budgets/new hires etc.

Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!

So I’m in the middle of completing my offer. Background check and drug testing are awaiting results. I’m putting in my two week notice tomorrow.
