A month is coming up on that too long, but not quite that long. Do you feel like your company is good for it or not really? Are those updates informative at all or just kind of pushing the issue aside? Nothing more frustrating than waiting for something that should already have happened.
If you've been told it's coming, I guess you have to take their word for it. I can't imagine they'd tell you it's coming if it isn't, I don't see how that would make sense. I'm guessing it has to go through some approval process (which may have happened) and then they have to actually change the numbers and schedule the change into a pay period. So it might take a reasonable amount of time.

If it’s been a month, give it another week. Then, politely ask for a firm timeline or decision.
