I feel like I always work too late Fridays. What time do you usually wrap up and get started on the weekend?

I've always been good about getting out early on Fridays. I can't say the same for the rest of the week, but once Friday rolls around, I'm completely shot and clocking out right at 5 PM.

Great for you guys! This is what I strive to do and frankly, people should be able to consistently do this.

8pm today for me :((

I’m the same way..powering through over weekends for sure

I promise myself each week that I'm going to keep to more regular hours. Has that ever happened? Of course not. I was done by 7pm on Friday and that was a fairly early one for me. Fridays are always about racing to finish whatever I put off during the week.

This is usually my problem! It’s too easy to push stuff off and I usually find those things take longer than I think.

I actually made it out before 5pm, which is a very rare occurrence for me!

I always end up working late on Fridays as well. I don't think I have every left before like 7 PM on a Friday. I try to get wrapped up and get out of here on time but it never seems to happen.

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.
