I was honestly leaning toward taking a step back to something Lower level and even a pay cut ( to be remote) but this opportunity popped up out of nowhere. It’s remote ( with some travel) vs my job now which is 4 days a week in the office. Having such a tough time weighing the pros and cons to come to a decision because it’s remote but higher level and I assume more stress
I took a promotion when I had my baby and do regret it a bit (more work and responsibility) BUT the remote piece is what makes it work for me. Being remote makes parenting so much more manageable. You’ll make it work!
I took another offer that is remote at a higher level with another company when my first was about 1, and then got promoted after about a year while I was pregnant with my second. No regrets at all - being remote with the occasional travel makes up for any additional stress.
