I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Why would you job hop during maternity leave? I would think either return to your old company where things are familiar and you can ease yourself back into work, or quit altogether and take a gap until you are ready for a new challenge. A new job and new baby is TOUGH.
Ohhh Chris D Wells, what are you doing man?
Your firm probably has a period that you need to stay at work after you come back or pay back all your leave. I would check the handbook and confirm with HR
I've definitely seen it both ways, very dependent on the company. If unsure, ask HR.
You could always wait until an offer is on the table before bringing it up. That way, you’ve already shown your value and can have a more honest conversation about timing.
Having a job interview does not mean that you will be hired. From a HR perspective it will cause a a wrinkle as a pregnant person will be requesting more leave in the future, for themselves and for the child. The true question will be “What comes first, the job or the child?” HR it is going to recognize this and consider this. If the company is open and does allow some work-from-home days then you may combine these dilemmas.
This is why it's important not to disclose that you are pregnant during an interview to avoid illegal discrimination. Women make up half of the workforce and will likely become pregnant at some point in their career. They shouldn't be discriminated against just because they are pregnant or could become pregnant in the future.
Are you really asking whether a job should come before a dependent human child? Of course the mom needs to prioritize her baby. This is why maternity leave is crucial for the mother to be able to tend to her baby, recover, and be able to transition back into work with reasonable accommodations. As a society, we need to do so much better in this area.
