Hi fishes,
I’m a fresher and have recently completed my internship as an Operations manager at Amazon. I am currently looking for FT opportunities. I came across and opening at Maersk for the role of Business Analyst. Could anyone refer me for the role or maybe point me to a suitable opportunity?
thanks!

Guys, my friend had her last working day last week and she thinks she forgot to fill her timesheet for her last 2 days before handing over the laptop. What can be the consequences of this? She is really worried about this
P.S she belongs to a back end team serving the firm internally charging time on only one code.

Fill up timesheet for holidays and weekends when you are working. Once in a while is fine but making this a habit is really bad practice, especially when coming from SM.
During my time at PwC , we used to have monthly meetings with one of the partners who was driving that engagement. If some calls are arranged, raise it there in a formal way to bring it to light.
All the best.
I feel this culture is uniformly followed across the big 4. Your situation is still better since you are reporting to an Indian senior manager. In my scenario, my leave was cancelled by the US team directly for Diwali week.
You can use those comp offs. However, you won't get time to even utilize your normal leaves
True. Why such toxic culture we have ? Last year I was denied leaves many times.
You might want to check the timeline to exhaust comp offs. Mind sharing your LoS?

Ideally you have the right to your leaves and comp off.
If you keep agreeing to work weekends and additional work, your Banglore seniors + US folks will keep pushing you.
For starters, you have to SPEAK UP! Say that you have personal commitments over the weekend at least that you cannot miss. Start with that. You are also entitled to your vacations and sick leaves. There's no approval process for leaves in PwC AC. It is to inform the engagement team and coach/RL.
If you still see continuous issues and you're being pressured, pls have it on email/chat and you always have an option to raise it to the HR BP or Ethics team (in worst case)
Own up for yourself or else they'll make you suffer. Is it worth sacrificing your mental health for? Think about it.
Happy to chat, if you want to discuss options!
I don’t entertain emails, texts or calls from colleagues on my days off or weekends. I work my normal hours and stretch if need be to complete my work during the weekdays itself. I’ve communicated clearly that I’m not available during weekends or holidays and in my 5+ years of work ex I haven’t faced any issues. Communication is key and don’t set expectations. If they see you are willing to work on weekends and holidays they will ask you to do so, since you’ve agreed in the past as well so an expectation is already set. Remember at the end of the day everyone is replaceable, so really does not make sense to go above and beyond on holidays.

This happened to me when I was with Bangalore AC. They will make you work on weekends and as soon as the project gets stable, they will release you. You won’t even get the opportunity to take comp offs. This is truly toxic culture supported by practice heads and directors here
I always advise new hires in my accounts that working on the weekend does more harm in the long term. I always feel that working with onshore teams directly can give you better negotiating policy although you may not become close years of your team leadership eventually. There have been various cases when my junior staff avoided my advice and eventually left EY GDS due to work load pressure and they told my advice was correct and they regretted following my advice.
Note: Eventually if someone wants to make a long term career in EY or big 4 competitors then he has to stretch. If (s)he wants wlb then there should be communication to the right person who is the engine of project about personal commitments.
