I have over a decade of sales experience and customer service. I have a wide range of industry backgrounds and experience. I'm also a college graduate. I was let go from my sales job 12/5 and I have been applying to companies that I feel I am a great fit and wont hear back or I get a rejection email that's automated. Now I am seeing from pretty much every company I am applying to, to submit a 1-3 minute Loom video to determine IF I'm a "good fit." This is crazy. Please help.

Q’s for hiring partners and recruiters - you know that most associates quit their managing attorneys and not the firm/case. I’m in that boat. What do I say to a prospective employer about the situation of why I want to jump ship?

Very brief background - I’m a senior associate who has been on one complex commercial litigation case for over a year. Over time, the relationships between attorneys on the case have deteriorated to the point that it is affecting my productivity/work. I want out.

People who lateraled during COVID: What did you do for the first two weeks? How did you make your presence known remotely to try and get assignments?

Does anyone’s dog look at them with puppy eyes when you leave for work so you tell them you have to go make money to afford their lifestyle? 🤣

Anyone else having trouble focusing today? Every time I have a long break and come back to the office I’m reminded how much I don’t like my current job. ID Associate and I have such a hard time concentrating even after a week off. I find it mind-numbing and unfulfilling. I’m never excited to come to work anymore for the past few months now. Just found out from a legal recruiter that I’m also way underpaid here. Hopeful I’ll get a job in a diff area of law or find another calling altogether.

i have an offer of X amount from jp morgan and x+ 3.5L from Mphasis, my joining is within a week, I asked counter offer from HR, she said we will look if there is any backup candidate to fill that position then we will not do counter and it will impact my DOJ also since offer approval process takes around 2 weeks. should i wait or should i join on my current doj. and also if i will wait will they give me another doj on my current compenstion or they will revoke the offer past doj?

I think we should create a compensation thread in this bowl. It would help a lot of people who are planning to switch companies/jobs or who are moving to this region. Just a thought, since it’s one of the most common questions asked here.
