My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

I think I want to be in relationship, but I fear that I actually am just lonely and not actually ready for relationship.

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. I am a 2nd year associate at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in toxic tort cases (individual). I’ve had the opportunity to be third chair on a trial, and will likely be second chair in an upcoming trial. However, given the track record of the firm and the amount of money at stake in each case, I am afraid I won’t get any first chair experience, if any, for at least another 5-7 years. I am considering staying at the firm but trying to get trial experience through side Pro Bono work. Thoughts?

Heard from recruiter that my onsite feedback was very strong and hiring manager thought I would be a great fit, but they went ahead with an internal candidate doing similar role with an adjacent team.

She mentioned that there is another very similar role open, and she will speak to the recruiter of that role about me. Has anyone seen that work or was she being nice? If not, I might as well apply to this new role online and give it a shot. TIA

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick.
