Do cover letters matter at all anymore?
I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

(CONTD) How about the rewording? Is this the appropriate color for the content?"
She really had some nerve to be criticizing my hard work & efforts when she said nothing & sent me nothing to put in the newsletter for last month & IGNORED me when I asked her for her input TWICE.
I don't think its fair for them to expect for me to come up with everything (topics that need to be covered in addition to finding all of the content to be put in the newsletter) on my own for every newsletter every month & then they come back & criticize S$%# in my newsletter I worked my a## off for. How would you handle this & what would you say to generate a response for this assignment?

In all honesty, I'd make sure I say things in person and send an email to summarize what was said that way there is a time date stamp. You requested input for the newsletter and got nothing and now the manager is mad about it probably at herself for not responding but taking it out on you. If they have an issue with what's in the newsletter, you'll have your trail where you requested their feedback and THEY did not respond to your requests.

@Sales Manager-i wish! That means my Supervisor would have to step it up and do it & she keeps crying about how she helps run 3 programs and has alot of stuff going on in her personal life (as we ALL DO). It would help a ton if she could just give me some ideas for the stupid newsletter but she just ignores my emails just like she did last month when I asked.

I sent an email to my Supervisor & my Director today stating "I would like to have your input so that I can begin composing the newsletter for next month" after she had just sent an email 5 mins b4 I sent her mine & b4 I sent her mine & I got NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT or response whatsoever. Very rude. She did the same BS to me last month for the newsletter I requested her input for. I sent her 2 FREAKING MESSAGES, & she never did respond, then criticized my newsletter after i finished it. She always does BS like this. I need another job ASAP. She picks & chooses what she wants to respond to, WHEN she wants to work, & WHEN she wants to be bothered. I hate it here.
She sent a Slack message to my Director not too long after I sent my email & let her know what she had just finished working on and logged off for the weekend. She does BS like this ALLL THE FREAKING TIME & im sick of it. My Director does nothing about her behavior, sides w/her, & refuses to hold her accountable for anything. I need another job asap!!
