Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Actually this is common in most of the product based they hire less freshers unlike service based who hire freshers in bulk
Multiple factors :
1. Cisco is vendor driven lot of vendors are there for doing the technical work and hence very less freshers or blue badges because they hire very less.
2. Majority of folks here(majorly old one's) are either people who got converted from red badges to blue badge or the ones who got hired when cisco came to India during 2008-09, a lot of tech Mahindra(satyam at that time) got converted with handsome package and since they were already working with cisco it was win win for them.
3. Not every unit is great and hence only few people stay back if you are in any emerging technology unit then you will see freshers as well old folks there, but if you are in unit that is not very great in terms of learning or pay you will only find old experienced folks there who are either into management or tech and are getting well paid.
4. Politics and frequent layoffs - this is primarily the reason freshers are afraid of cisco as there are 2 firing cycle every year or you can say reorg/restructuring etc.
🤣
Your ageism is showing. Stable product companies need a mix of early-in-career and experienced people, with the average experience level being 5-10 years. They bring different things to the table. A company that is too skewed towards freshers will lack execution skills, and a company that is too skewed towards experienced people will lack in bringing in new ideas.
