I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.

I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.

I’m a lawyer in B4 tax with 2 yoe about to make senior in June. Would it be foolish to throw all that away to switch into an entirely different practice area of law (not tax)? Would it be better to wait until senior to make that switch?

Hey guys. So I am an actuarial analyst who got started about three months ago. I had a chance to do a data scientist intern, which I really loved. I am three months into the full time position as an actuarial analyst and I am finding the job not as exciting. It certainly isn’t what I have expected. Do you need a healthcare-related graduate degree to progress your career in healthcare consulting? I majored in business/finance in undergrad and have 1 YOE at a healthcare boutique but am worried that I won’t be able to lateral without more schooling. Would I have a shot of lateraling to a big 4 healthcare group or a large Tier 2 consulting firm in the next few years without getting an MHA or some other graduate degree?

Role is sort of a Jr manager role over other PMs, larger role in crafting processes and structures of work within creative studio and working with execs to drive change/work, and owning large complex bodies of work. How are we feeling about written assignments before being advanced to the next step during the interview process? I was given yet another written assignment to do. I declined completely and sent an example of one of my other assignments that I had done from a previous candidacy (in which they took my work and completely removed the job posting). I'm a bit jaded from doing written assignments honestly.

Is it much easier to learn through listening than reading? I cannot pay attention when reading, but since I have started using audiobooks, I have consumed 3-4 books a week.

Is it common in the industry for licensed insurance agents to not get any commissions on a referral in which you personally write the policy? Ex: If a current client refers a prospect to our team, I would not receive commission. Additionally, if I write a policy for friends/family I would get a small incentive but it’s a fraction of the commission producers make.
Management is considering changing this going forward. However, I’m not sure how I should react if they keep things how they are now.
