Could be that multiple teams have an opening so you’re being considered for one of the teams
Sounds like you made it through to meet the team. They usually do that as like a vibe check but not all four are decision makers. The hiring manager as a courtesy will take their feedback. Just guessing, not sure where you’re at in the process. Good luck to you!
Rather than feeling ambushed, since you know there are 4 people, think of this as a conversation with your new team.

It could be you talk to them in ascending time. I had that. I spoke with a creative, then an hr person, and then an account person so they could get multiple povs instead of having multiple calls for each. I only spoke to one at a time though
Check them out on LI and if they have portfolios - check those out as well. It sounds like a vibe check. And who knows, maybe you can bring up their work as something you admire. This could be a good thing.
