I don’t find them that annoying. It’s more of a confirmation
I’m torn on this. I don’t send these to save my time and the time of the person reading.
But if I don’t send it, then there will be that one person who takes umbrage that I didn’t thank them.

I had a client who had "Please consider the environment before responding to this email." in his signature. I always thought that was clever.
I hate them, especially when the “Thanks” email hides an important message in the conversation thread and you miss it. I think it’s why O365 added a like button
The button is only in the online version on O365 not Outlook
I’ve never understood why people think the act of simply receiving an email generates work. It literally takes 2 seconds to read.
Big difference in my book between unnecessary emails that contain a lot of text / waste time reading versus “thank you."
Tell lawyers that.
What? No not at all. They’re easy to browse over and they confirm that the person I emailed has what they need.
I really dislike them. I only send them myself when it feels like a bigger thing that requires confirmation. For example, if I asked for something small like “can you send me x from today’s meeting” and then send it, I probably won’t bother with the email because it’s now done and off their plate. Versus if there was some ongoing discussion and it’s not clearly something that’s closed, then I’ll say it to provide clarity. I realize it doesn’t take long to scan through them, but we all get so much email and I personally easily get lost in the clutter of the inbox. I’m sure it comes off as rude to some, but if you know me, you know it’s just my style
Wut lol
Email chain where someone asks for something, you send it, they reply "Thanks!"
It adds nothing and is an email I have to read because maybe there's feedback in there.
If I ask someone for something and they provide it, I say thank you. If it had a group on CC, I'll remove and reply directly to the person who provided what I asked for.
I think it would be rude not to acknowledge.
Thanks sis 😙😙😙😚😚
I’d love to hear a “please" and a “thank you” every so often. We’re not savages. We don’t live in a barn. #channelingmy mother
