I am currently working at a big 4 in Strategy and Business Transformation practice. I recently came across the job of a S&O Manager role at Global Business Strategy. TBC
What are hours like in B4 advisory (IT, AAS, risk mainly)? Considering west coast positions
Would it be a bad move to leave B4 FDD for somewhere like A&M or HL or Riveron as a soon to be A2? I’m being recruited and their practice seems to be growing like crazy so I see it as being a good opportunity to ride the growth and get paid more in the meantime. Any advice?
Anyone at RSM or any other midsized firm know what the average pay for Senior Transaction services is? I would also assume the hours are a bit better than big 4 FDD? Looking to decide between industry or give another few years to public accounting. Also for the Chicago area or any MCOL area
How much are the hourly rates for the seasonal contractors at the B4 firms? Especially in tax. Thanks
I'm a Tech Risk SC, but have an accounting/finance background. I'm doing the FRM now for broader cert experience, is it worth doing CA long term in my area?
Shameless company plug, sorry y’all. But Morgan Stanley just rolled the FRM Experienced Professionals Program. This program is designed to recruit and develop diverse professionals regardless of whether they have a background in Finance or Risk Management. If you’re interested just dm me. I made it out of kpmg and hopped over to MS and honestly so far I’m loving it. Also more black people in this space would really go a long way.
Any open positions in the area of Risk Management?? I m Working in Risk Advisory for 1.5+ yrs... looking out for operational risk Management jobs within Financial Services or FNCG domain.. If not Operational, I m Currently persuing FRM to switch in model, credit, market risk...
How much does big 4 pay for risk / internal audit for an experienced senior in NYC? Would 90k be on the lower end?
Is there anyone that has taken the FRM within the last 2 years? Planning to sit for May 2022 Exam. Need some advice, buy books from you, etc
Heard frm a friend at pwc that in consulting they have per diems. Is it for all practitioners and practice? Seems tight on budget.
Just finished the FRM part 1 😕😒😖
For those pursuing an EMBA frm Columbia/Wharton, how is ur class profile? What’s the age/experience/background? Trying to make up my mind between the two. NYC based 35 yr old with11 yrs in consulting
The choices leaders have to make!Economy breakdown and deaths further down the line vs take the death toll hit now and keep economy runnig. India goes on total lockdown vs US planning to work frm Mon.
Transitioning from big 4 to Guidehouse (I know).. going out on a limb here and assuming GH does NOT do the whole Winter holiday break thing?
Should animals (non-human) be allowed to own guns? Rhesus monkeys, for example. Why or why not? They could protect themselves from being forced into medical experiments.
On the Bloomberg Article about Faster Promotion/Pay Raises: Who at MS is trying to get your boy a job?! 😂
Preparing for Huron’s healthcare consulting associate behavioral interview. What to expect?
Total compensation for an in-house strategy gig? at a major tech company in LA. About 5 years of experience
I’ve never quit anything in my life. But I hate my job and see no way out and no future. I work 80 hours a week and don’t even have time to interview, and am out of pto. Anyone btdt?
How do you handle financial discussions with a gf that is sensitive about money and gets offended easily? My gf wants to move in with me but I'm not so sure she can live off her salary
I got laid off from my accounting/consulting firm in January and have since been taking a class related to my industry but from a tech angle. I prefer to leave consulting but could stay off the work and work life balance were better. I signed up for this class thinking hiring woods be soft until midyear give or take just wish the class finished. I look on this app and it seems everyone is hiring. Am I missing the boat by not being in a full throttle job search now?
I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.
Sometimes when I feel like I'm having just an average day and my boss's skype says out of office I'm scared she has some kind of sixth sense about it and is on her way to come fire me. Anyone else?
Know someone at McKinsey who knows that I’m well qualified for roles there, but we’re not on the best terms. Is it worth it to ask them for a referral/ask them to direct me to other McK folks who could refer me? Worried that if they knew I was interested and they haven’t moved on from past disagreements that they could tell the recruiter to throw out my app/blackball me from the firm. This person is fairly junior in the firm, but don’t know how much influence they have.
Bought a rental property last year and paid points to get the rate down. Should I try refinancing? I looked at Better Mortgage but my principle amount was too low for them to give me any offers. Wonder if it's worth to continue looking.
What’s (roughly) total comp at MBB 2, 4, & 6 years out of b school? Really curious about salary progression but can’t find a reliable source. Thanks for your input!!
Hello 🐠🐋🐟 Can anyone tell how is Epam? I only know it's US based company. Can anyone please elaborate on work culture and security there.
Bain/McK 🐠, considering a move from a healthcare consulting firm into healthcare-specific roles at your firms. Any insight on hours/culture would be much appreciated!
