What are some signs that your GF has a controlling personality? GF made a remark to me that she’s looking for someone who jumps when she says jump, and that she wishes I wouldn’t “talk back” to her when I provide an opinion that is the opposite of hers. I met with the person who will be leading NA sales, and do not think hes the right person for the job. Not someone I think I can learn much from.

I’m thinking of turning down a job offer without anything (or anything full-time) lined up. Tell me if I’m being stupid, given the current economy, or if it’s better to hold out.
Context: I was reduced from full-time to part-time freelance at my old (current?) job. The place where I have an offer is very young, doesn’t have a creative director (I would be answering to marketing), and the offer is well below what I believe is average for midlevel in the city they’re in.

Catholic school parent expect grade changes two days before grades close- student didn’t want assistance during the trimester and parents never reached out until now- how have you all seen that handled?
