13 years in a private school after 12 in public settings. Pay is a little lower, but class sizes are much smaller, a only need to buy supplies if I want to, and parents are far more responsive. I also have more input in terms of curriculum. Added bonus - my school offers 80% tuition remission, so both of my daughters have had opportunities I couldn’t have provided in the past.
I am starting work in private school in the fall after years in the public schools. Any tips?
One main diff tween the two is private/Charter schools have better parent participation than their public counterpart!
Use that to your advantage by teaming with them to hold kids accountable! Use to improve academic performance, address behavior concerns or a phone call or note telling them something good bout their lil kiddo😳your class will soon be hummin along!
