You can try putting up enterprise skills in your resume and talk through how it can be utilized in the tech/healthcare industry. You need to present that efficiently in the interview.
Are you asking about putting together a portfolio? I think that’s semi rare in PM land so putting it together if it’s good would help you.
The main drawback to enterprise is that consumer focused companies want to know you can be user obsessed and all that. It’s tough to move out but you just highlight the overlapping skills and show how your user prioritization translates.
It’s different, for sure. You get more direct access to your end users usually, and often getting to do things like A/B tests can be restricted because of the reasons you mentioned. I’ve worked all the different kinds… enterprise, b2c, b2b and b2b2c. They all have their nuances but ultimately I was a PM at all of them and leveraged the same skills and analytical thinking at each role. When transitioning you just have to focus on those translatable skills. But I do think it is getting harder and harder to move between industries lately. Companies are less inclined to hire generalists like me!
