I love this opinion blog by Adam Miller because it reverberates in my teacher's heart. I dread seeing admin walk in with their clipboards and Chromebooks. We are in the trenches everyday and understand the needs of our students better than the person who only drops in when there is a call for assistance or they just want to pop in. After you read the article, tell me what you think. How do you feel about observations?

This article hits the nail on the head. This is exactly how I feel. Administrators always come in at the worst times, and have no idea what's been going on beforehand. They don't know the kids at all. We teachers get blamed for everything!!!!!
I bribe my students and don’t feel bad about it at all. The article explains why. Those drop-in evaluations don’t tell the whole story. Actually, no evaluation does. It’s just a snapshot of what goes on in a 180 days.
I was only on the mini observation year. That mini observation was Halloween!!! Nice!
